The forests floor in autumn the scent and the poetry of the fallen leaves.
The Cocoa tree may have originated in the foothills of the Andes in the Amazon and Orinoco basins of South America. Cocoa bushes will grow in a very limited geographical zone, of approximately 10 degrees to the north and south of the Equator. The Cocoa plant was first given its botanical name by Swedish natural scientist Carl von Linné (1707-1778), who called it "Theobroma ("food of the gods") Cocoa".
Magnificent, delicious flavor and exotic are the first words that come to mind when we think about cocoa. A fruit that may posses something supernatural that cannot be explained; how, with its small dark beans and no esthetic value did it turn into the divine fruit of kings and European Emperors. A magical concoction that combines vigor with powerful aphrodisiacs could not have come from anywhere else, but from the garden of the gods.
